P. Paul Cocoros
Managing Attorney
Attorney P. Paul Cocoros has over 50 years of experience in providing excellent legal representation and sound advice to his clients in Baltimore and the surrounding counties. He is an active participant in every case his firm handles.
A former assistant state attorney with extensive courtroom experience, Mr. Cocoros is comfortable handling both civil and criminal cases. He has years of experience in both federal and state proceedings involving jury and judge trials.
He attended Baltimore City College and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and his law degree from the University of Baltimore. Paul's legal experience includes Baltimore City felony assistant state attorney and National College of District Attorneys. 50 years of practicing law in the courts of Maryland and Federal Courts of the USA.
John J. Hammann
Attorney
John J. Hammann runs the Criminal and Bankruptcy department. He mostly handles criminal cases, traffic citations, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies.
He first started with the Law Offices of P. Paul Cocoros in 1989. He has extensive experience in the Circuit Court, District Court, Office of Administrative Hearings, and the Federal Bankruptcy Court.
He graduated from Loyola College of Maryland and received his law degree from the University of Baltimore.
Stephen R. Poirier
Attorney
Mr. Poirier is in charge of the landlord-tenant and contracts section of the office in addition to handling both civil and criminal cases.
He has a broad array of trial experience in both District Court and jury trails in Circuit Court as well as many and varied appearances before administrative agencies.
Mr. Poirier has an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore. He has 18 years in practice.
He has been practicing in the state of Maryland for over 18 years.
5 years with state of Maryland Public Defenders office- District and Circuit courts.
Olufunmilola Margaret Akintan
Attorney of Counsel
Olufunmilola Margaret Akintan is a licensed attorney in council in good standing; admitted to the bars of the New York and Maryland States Courts of Appeals in 2005 and 2007 respectively. She is admitted to practice law before the United States District Court, District of Maryland. She obtained her Masters of Law from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington DC.
Ms. Akintan is also an Adjunct Professor at Bowie State University, Graduate School of Business, where she teaches Business Law. She recently served as an Attorney Advisor with the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affair.
Ms. Akintan has extensive experience in Immigration Law, Wills and Estate Administration.
